The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He reviews and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those looking to get rid of mopping off their to-do lists. They feature impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you should choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 minutes when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. ( best budget robot vacuum can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.
It is very efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt, pet hair, and even droppings easily. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop rotates at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful in tight corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to sweep up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely to mop it is important to pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners who want an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and methodically. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean which is also relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.
App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it should make, which will affect how quickly the device can move through your home. You can also disable the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.
The device is costly, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to note that the device is subject to regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads must be replaced every one to three months.
The robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean button' as well as a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.
Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to shield specific areas of your home from being swept with mop.
We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair from pets. It was able capture the majority of hair our cats shed, and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few lovely jingles to let you know when it was about to start or completing its task.
The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the need to change out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which could be a pain when you live in a house with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two water tanks, a clean sink as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.
The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to detect obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you remove it manually. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert in its application.
Another issue that could be a problem is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. best budget robot vacuum cleaner can lead to mildew and mold.
On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in the market that is dominated by boxy models.
